Reminder That Labels Are For Reading

I saw a commercial last week that talked about how Daisy sour cream was just cream, nothing else.  I listened and thought, "Well, duh.  What else would it be?"  Turns out there's lots of options.  Here are a couple labels from a couple other sour cream brands.

For me the scariest part is the modified corn starch because that opens up the possibility of GMO's.  So today I bought Daisy Brand sour cream for our family. The last photo shows the Daisy ingredient list.

Again I was reminded that to be an informed consumer, I must make no assumptions and I really need to read all labels because there's no telling what's lurking on an ingredient list.
