Allergies

My oldest son has horrible seasonal allergies.  We tried every over the counter medicine possible. We tried sudafed, claritin, allegra, etc. and nothing seemed to work.  Finally, my sister told me that when she went off dairy that her allergies were much more manageable.  So we decided as a last resort to try it.  We ended up with two things that worked.

1. My son goes off dairy when his allergies start up, that seems to lesson them quite a bit
2. If they do get bad when he's outside playing and he's allergic to something that the pollen count is high on, and his eyes start to itch and it's just more than he can take we use essential oils.  A couple drops each of food grade lavender, peppermint, and lemon oil under his tongue and he improves almost immediately.  The taste of the lavender is horrible so he will only use the oils if it gets really really bad!
